Background Information:

We got this requirement from our Me2We member Siva Sai Korada garu. Divyaamritam is a 100-bedded Free-of-Cost Cancer Hospital located @ Thatipudi, Vizianagaram District, Andhra Pradesh and maintained by Sri Sathya Sai Trust For Universal Welfare.

Our Me2We members Sagar, Sudharshan, Satish, and Kumar visited the hospital on November 23, 2024, and successfully executed the event.

Important Note:

Although the event was executed on November 23, 2024, it took some time to deliver and install all the products.

Initially, the vendor quoted Rs. 4,50,000 for the kitchen equipment including  STEAM GAS BOILER2 100 LTR.

However, due to technical issues with this product, the vendor suggested upgrading to STEAM GAS BOILER2 250 LTR, resulting in a total expense of Rs. 6,26,380

Background Information:

About Shobha garu:

Shobha garu, a single mother from Nizamabad, Telangana. Her husband, who migrated to Libya for work, tragically lost his life in a local mishap when their only daughter Manasa visually impaired was just a child. Shobha garu moved to Hyderabad to ensure Manasa's quality education.

Me2We's journey with their family:

- With no steady income, they rely on her daughter Manasa's pension for fulfilling few basic needs and could not manage expenses for Manasa's education and other basic needs. So, approached Me2We in April 2017 for support.

- Considering their financial situation and Manasa's marks, we have taken their family's responsibility and continue supporting them from past 7+ years.

- With our support, Manasa has completed her degree final year and is now preparing for civil services. She cleared prelims and recently took her mains exams and waiting for result. We're proud to continue supporting her. 

Our support so far: 

- Supporting for Manasa's education and health needs 

- Paid house rent for few months 

- Providing rice and groceries monthly 

- Many more ad-hoc requirements

Current support: 

As part of our assistance, we provided rice and groceries for January 2025.

Background story:

Srilekha is an academically brilliant and economically backward student from Hyderabad. She has completed her 10th class with 9.0 Grade and got 92.6% in her intermediate. Currently, studying B.Tech 4th year @ Annamacharya Institute Of Technology & Sciences, Hyderabad.

Her father is working as security guard in one of TV channels office. He has 2 daughters and 1 son. Srilekha is his 2nd daughter. He has under gone heart surgery twice. 5 years ago, he approached and requested us to support for paying Srilekha's intermediate college fee as he could not afford to pay Srilekha's fee. After understanding their situation, we have been supporting for Srilekha's fee based on her academic merit every year.

Based on their financial situation this year, we have paid 50% of her B.Tech 4th year fee (Rs. 30000) and the remaining fee amount (Rs. 30000) will be paid by her father.
