Dear All,
We got to know about the needy patient Bandla Chandra Shekar from our Me2We member Varun Biyyala.
Chandra Shekar's head was hacked with an axe and he was left for dead by somebody in Suryapet. His skull has a big opening now with part of skull missing, and his brain muscle is literally hanging outside. He is barely surviving and he has lost his memory. The police brought him to Osmania General Hospital and left him there, alone. He has been there without an attender and without any treatment. Not even a dressing to cover his wound. He has a sister who is a widow with kids. For being very poor and lack of financial assistance she had no choice but to leave him alone.
He is being considered destitute now, an NGO “The Good Samaritans” noticed his status and took complete responsibility of him. Currently he is admitted to NIMS Panjagutta in emergency ward.Varun attended him at NIMS, Panjagutta for 5 consecutive days from 8a.m to 1p.m as a care-taker. He personally had to feed him as he is too weak to even hold a spoon. In NIMS an attender has to stay with the patient at all times and it is mandatory. So Varun attended him for two days as a volunteer in the morning shift and “The Good Samaritans” team members in remaining shifts.
Currently, our Me2We funded for his medical expenses on instalment basis.

But very sad, the brain surgery patient to whom our MetoWe Ngo is funding for his medical expenses is passed away 7th August 2016.
May his soul rest in peace.
