Background Story:
1) Durga rao garu is carpenter. They are a family of 6 members (two kids, wife, mother-in-law and sister-in-law). They stay in a rent house and rent is around Rs 2000. Kids study in Bharthi vidayalaya (Age 6 and 9 years). They don't have any pension. They don't have ration card. He is paid daily Rs 500. On an average he earns Rs 7000 per month. As he is not having work due to lockdown, there were no earnings since two months. They approached Me2We through our Me2We volunteer NagaBabu.
2)Satyanarayana garu works as a security. They are a family of 4 (one daughter and 1 son). Recently, his son met with an injury on his head which had around 7 stitches. Till then they were able to manage this situation of Corona Lockdown. They stay in rent house. Due to this medical emergency they ran short of money and approached us to support for groceries. They fall under BPL family.
3) VijayaLaxmi garu works as house keeping in Sakshi through a contract agency. In normal times she used earn around Rs 8000. Her husband name is Ravinder and he is a painter. They stay near Mallepalli. Due lockdown they were jobless. They could manage few days, later it has become difficult for them to run the family. They are a family of 5 (3 kids). They are studying in Govt school. They have ration card. They received rice and Rs 3000 for April and May months. Their kids names were not added to ration card, so the quantity of rice they are receiving is less when compared with their need. They even took some handloan from others to meet their expenses. As they are not having work due to lockdown, there were no earnings. They approached Me2We through our Me2We volunteer Satyanarayana garu.
4) Yadamma garu works as house keeping in Sakshi through a contract agency. She is a single woman. They are a family of 3 (Daugther and Son-inlaw). Son-in law works as a driver for a school van (Adarsh Little flowers school) and his name is Anjaneyulu . In normal times she used to earn around Rs 9000. He was paid around Rs 11000. They stay in a rent house and it costs Rs 3900. They have ration card, but only two names were entered in the card. They received rice and Rs 3000 for April and May months. As they are not having work due to lockdown, there were no earnings since two months. They approached Me2We through our Me2We volunteer Satyanarayana garu.
5) Bommana Adikeshwar Rao garu works in a cloth shop. He earns around Rs 8000. They have ration card. They stay in a rent house Rs 3500. He is the only bread earner for their family. Recently, his wife discharged from RamDev hospital after getting treatment for breathlessness due to gastric pain. They don't have arogyasri. They took a handloan from their neighbours for this treatment. They have two children (Girl already married- boy died in a accident). Curently, his parents are also staying with them. They received 40 Kgs of rice and Rs 3000 for April and May months. As he is not going for work due to lockdown, there were no earnings. It has become difficult for them to run the family. They approached Me2We through our Me2We volunteer NagaBabu.
6)RamaLinga Raju garu works as a security guard. He earns around Rs 9500. They stay in a rent house Rs 4300. They don't have ration card. They are family of three (mother and daughter). His daughter studies in a govt school. His mother gets a pension of Rs 2000 since 6 months. As he is not going for work due to lockdown, there were no earnings. It has become difficult for them to run the family. They approached Me2We through our Me2We volunteer NagaBabu.
7)Faheem begum garu stays in Yellama banda. She is a single woman and has a daugther. She works as a maid and earns around Rs 8000 - 9000. Due to lock down she was jobless. Her brother-in-law (Inayth) who works in a fruit shop supported her few days, but couldn't support her further. She doesn't have ration card. She stays in rent house and the rent is Rs 3000. She is jobless since 2 months. They approached Me2We through our Me2We volunteer NagaBabu.
8) VeeraLakshmi garu stays in Anji nagar, near Kondapur. She is a single woman. She works as a maid and earns around Rs 7000. They are a family of 4 (Mother-in-law, 2 kids). They don't have ration card. Her mother-in-law gets old age pension of Rs 2000. She is jobless since 2 months. Initially, they took some help from her parents, who stay in AP. They stay in rent house and rent is Rs 3000. Her kids study in Govt school (9th and 10th). She even took some amount as handloan from her neighbors to manage the situation. They approached Me2We through our Me2We volunteer NagaBabu.
9) Kolli Sesharatnam garu stays in Korukunda. Her Husband's name is Kolli Anji babu. He does cement works. They are family of 5 members (two kids and sister-inlaw). They have a ration card and received only rice (only three members entered in it) from Govt so far. Her husband has been at home before lockdown due to health problem (pain in the legs). They even took handloan to meet their expenses. Their kids are of 5 and 8 years studying in Govt school. They stay in a rent house and rent is Rs 1500. Due to corona lock down their situation has become still worse. Her sister-in-law has ration card and gets pension of Rs 2000. She is a single woman. They approached Me2We through our Me2We volunteer NagaBabu.
10) Jyothi Seelam garu family stays in Rajamundry. Her husband works in a cloth show room. Her husband's salary in Rs 10000. They are a family of 4 (two kids). They stay in a rent house and rent is Rs 2500. They do not have a ration card. Her husband has been at home since Corona lock down and even the their shop owners told them not to come for shop for next 3 months. Due to this, their situation has become still worse. They managed few days by getting some support from her mother, who stays in Ramchandrapuram who works in a rice mill. They approached Me2We through our Me2We volunteer NagaBabu.
11) Vasavi garu family stays in Vizag. Her husband works as a tailor. Her husband went to Hyderabad and stuck due to lock down. Currently, he is staying in a hostel in Hyderabad. They are a family of 4 (two kids). They stay in a rent house and rent is Rs 2500. They have a ration card in Srikakulam. They received rice and Rs 1000 from Govt. They utilized the amount for milk and vegetables. Her husband was jobless and their situation has become worse and facing hard times. They approached Me2We through our Me2We volunteer NagaBabu.
Considering their situation as an immediate support, we have supported them to purchase rice & groceries based on the individual family's situation for their survival during lockdown period.
