Background Information:

We got this requirement from Vidya Sagar garu (Telugu lecturer @ SNSR college, Velugodu, Kurnool Dist). 

The requirement is to support Lockdown-impacted families which include 5 daily-wages (commission based) tailors, 3 Daily Wage Labours, and 1 Dhobi family (washerman)  in Atmakur.

The tailor shops @ Atmakur were closed at the time of Corona Lockdown (March 2020) and they are not yet opened as Atmakur, Kurnool is still under containment zone in view of the rising number of Covid-19 cases.

Due to this there was no income source for tailoring workers and it has become very tough to them to meet their basic family needs.

Daily wage labour are also facing problems in this lockdown. All the families have ration card and they all come under below poverty line. All these days they managed to run their living with whatever food grains they received from ration card (govt), which weren't sufficient for their family needs. Most of them took hand loans to maintain their families.

Vidyasagar garu got to know about few of such tailoring worker and daily wager families around him and brought the requirement to our notice. After understanding their situation, we have distributed rice & groceries to their families.

Background Story:

We got a this requirement from our member Gopichand Muvvala. The requirement is to support a single woman's family.

She has two daughters and her husband recently passed away. Currently, she is doing some home made work and trying to generate some income which is not sufficient for their survival. For few days some of their relative supported for house rent and groceries, but after that their situation has become tough to manage basic things. 

Our member Venkatesh G visited their house and verified the requirement. We had call with them and understood that they are facing many difficulties out of which paying rent and monthly groceries on top in the list.

Considering their tough situation as an immediate support, we have provided rice and groceries with which they can survive upto 2 to 3 months. We may think of other options to make them live on their own feet once the Coronavirus crisis is passed.

Srilekha is academically brilliant and economically backward student to whom we have been supporting for her intermediate education. Due to Corona, her classes are being conducted online and she was facing difficulties to attend the online classes, read study material and take online exams.

So her father Satyanarayana garu approached us whether we can support her. Considering the necessity for the laptop, we have donated laptop to Srilekha.

Thank you Bharath for contributing to purchase 2 laptop batteries and wireless mouse. One battery is installed on Srilekha's laptop and second battery is installed on another laptop which will be used for upcoming needy requirements.
