Background Information:

We got this requirement from Vidya Sagar garu (Telugu lecturer @ SNSR college, Velugodu, Kurnool Dist). 

The requirement is to support Lockdown-impacted families which include 5 daily-wages (commission based) tailors, 3 Daily Wage Labours, and 1 Dhobi family (washerman)  in Atmakur.

The tailor shops @ Atmakur were closed at the time of Corona Lockdown (March 2020) and they are not yet opened as Atmakur, Kurnool is still under containment zone in view of the rising number of Covid-19 cases.

Due to this there was no income source for tailoring workers and it has become very tough to them to meet their basic family needs.

Daily wage labour are also facing problems in this lockdown. All the families have ration card and they all come under below poverty line. All these days they managed to run their living with whatever food grains they received from ration card (govt), which weren't sufficient for their family needs. Most of them took hand loans to maintain their families.

Vidyasagar garu got to know about few of such tailoring worker and daily wager families around him and brought the requirement to our notice. After understanding their situation, we have distributed rice & groceries to their families.
