Thank you all for your support and contribution to provide shelter to Jilla Goutham's family.

Background information:

We got this requirement from Jilla Babu (Father of Goutham CP kid to whom we are supporting for physiotherapy) and the requirement is to support for construction of a basic structure with roofing sheets and cement pillars.

You can find more details about Goutham @ https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CIvlLJ2CUA0XlemwMHabJ8vnBX0HIa_MlHOfvO6YuoM/edit#gid=119660448

Jilla Babu had been staying in a house (small hut) for rent at Somaram village, which was near his village Jamalpuram, Parvathi giri Mandal. Due to heavy rains last year the house was damaged. He was asked to vacate the house by the owner. So, he had to move to his village along with his elderly mother, wife, son, and daughter.

Jilla Babu works as a Jeep driver (taking jeep for rent) and sometimes goes to Warangal for labor works. His son and daughter were studying in Govt residential school, but due to corona they were sent to their residence. His wife goes for some agricultural works.

They were having some land in their hometown where his mother used to stay earlier. Even that house got damaged due to heavy rains and wear and tear. They set up a tent for time being in that place and could manage the summer season. It was really hard for them to manage when it rains. So, he requested us multiple times if we can provide support for him in construction of a small house with sheets so that it would be helpful to them, especially in rainy season.

Their major concern was protection from snakes and monkeys and also privacy for the women.

They could contribute Rs 10000 from their side for this requirement.

Volunteers:

Vivek Ramagiri

Saikrishna Ettaboina

Sagar Motupalli (Virtual)

Considering his request, we enquired details from our Me2We volunteer Sai Krishna and moved forward with the requirement.

The main motto to take up the requirement is to support the needy and his family from these times and also make the needy responsible for the help they received from Me2We. We are treating this requirement different from other requirements.

Our Me2We member Vivek Ramgiri accompanied the needy in Warangal while purchasing the construction material.

Thank you Vivek for adjusting your working hours and volunteering this event to purchase the construction material at Warangal

Thank you Saikrishna for visiting the Jilla Goutham's village and enquiring their situation and monitoring the progress of the shelter construction work.

Thank you Sagar for your great efforts to coordinate with the our Volunteers, material vendors and Needy and get the construction work completed smoothly.
