Background Story:

We got this requirement from Bhargavi Madam (Principal of Sri Gayatri College, Ibrahimpatnam) where we have paid college fee for few visually impaired students. Bhargavi madam got this request from Jyothi madam who runs a home (Spoorthy Jyothi Foundation) for visually impaired at Ibrahimpatnam.

Kure Sainath is partially visually impaired student from Bathalapalli village, Anantapur. His father works as Shepherd earns daily Rs. 4500 per month. His mother used to work as agricultural labor an she was bitten by a snake and taking treatment through local medicine practitioners.

He completed his schooling from RDH, which is NGO in Anantapur Dist that supports education for economically backward people. After that he completed his Intermediate in Sai Junior College, Hyderabad (a subsidiary of Devnar foundation). Till intermediate he had free education and free accommodation as both are NGOs.

Currently, he studying Degree (B.Com) 2nd year in Karthikeya Degree College, Ibrahimpatnam, Hyderabad and staying Spoorthy Jyothi Foundation, Ibrahimpatnam who are providing food and accommodation for visually impaired students for free of cost. Initially, Jyothi madam thought of paying Sainath's fee. However, they could not accumulate the funds. So approached us if we can support for Sainath's fee this year.

We have gathered complete information about this requirement during our verification process. Our Volunteer Ramanaji visited Sainath's house at Bathalapalli village, Anantapur and physically verified the requirement.

After understanding Sainath's financial situation, we decided to support for his Degree college fee for this year.

Our member Kiran Sreeram visited Karthikeya Degree College on 27/03/2022 and paid the 1st year fee (Rs. 12000).

Event 787 - Provided groceries for Shobha garu (Manasa Mother)

Event: Provided groceries for Shobha garu Single Woman (Manasa Visually Impaired Student's Mother)

Background story:

Shobha garu is a Single Woman from Nizamabad, Telangana and she is mother of Manasa visually impaired girl to whom we have been supporting for her eduction from past 5 years. Her husband passed away when Manasa was a child. He went to Libya for livelihood and one day he was out for some work and unexpectedly he became victim of firing happened in the local mishap.

To provide good education to Manasa, Shobha garu left the village and is staying with Manasa in Hyderabad. There is no source of income for them and they could manage house rent and groceries with Manasa's pension and some support from Shobha garu's brothers till last year.

From past few months, her brothers were unable to support them due to their financial and family issues. So, Shobha garu approached us if we can provide some groceries for few months until her brothers situation become normal or Manasa gets job. Currently, Manasa has completed her Degree final year and preparing for civil services.

Considering their situation, we decided to support them and provided groceries for this month.
