Background Story:

We got this requirement from one of our Me2We beneficiaries Madhavi  Pushpa Latha garu to whom we have supported for medicines and groceries during Covid lockdown.

The requirement is to support for Sita Mahalakshmi Garu’s eye surgery, diabetes medicines and groceries for one month.

Sita Mahalakshmi garu is a Single Woman from Nizampet, Hyderabad. She used to work as cook in two houses and get 8k per month till last month.

Later, She had some pain in her right eye and observed that her vision getting low day-by-day due to increase in sugar levels. Being in this condition with loss of eye sight she couldn’t go for work now.

Our member Kiran Sreeram visited her house at Nizampet and gathered the complete information.

Later, she went to L.V.Prasad hospital for eye treatment. Doctors at L.V.Prasad suggested that she has to undergo Vitreoretinal Surgery which costs at least 65k and they can do the surgery once her sugar levels become normal.

So, initially we supported her for diabetes medicines. Later, we got to know about our Me2We beneficiary Shravanachary garu Visually impaired singer to whom we have supported for  his daughter Bhavana's heart surgery. He informed us that eye treatment can be done for free of cost for Needy people. Based on that, Sita Mahalakshmi garu visited L.V.Prasad hospital again and now her eye surgery is scheduled on 01/04/2022 for free of cost. 

Thank you Sagar for coordinating with Shravana chary garu and L.V.Prasad hospital people and got the surgery done at free of cost and helping Me2We to save 65k which we can utilize for upcoming requirements.

Since, she could not go for cooking immediately after the surgery and requested us to provide groceries for one month. Considering her situation, we have provided diabetes medicines and groceries for one month. Our member Kiran Sreeram went to medical shop and groceries shop and purchased required 

medicines and groceries for 1 month.
