Background Information:

Naga Shaik is a Me2We Beneficiaries to whom we have supported for paying Vocal Music Course fee.

He is from Obulapur, Karimnagar, Telangana and was born visually impaired, and he is the one of the 6 children in his family. All his siblings are visually impaired. He is the last but one member among his siblings. His father passed away long time ago and his mother passed away around 4 years ago due to kidney problem.

They stay in a small house (own house constructed by his father), and they have been managing their living with the Govt pension provided for visually impaired.

Event execution:

30/07/2022:

Naga Shaik was suffering from severe lower abdomen pain. He called our Me2We member Sagar Motupalli at 6:30 PM and explained his terrible situation and requested for immediate help. Sagar called our Me2We member Satish Guntupalli immediately and explained Naga's situation. Satish responded quickly and suggested Naga to come to Priyadarsini Hospital, Chinthal. Naga along with his friends reached the hospital by 7:45 PM. By that time Satish alerted staff and made everything ready for him.

Dr. Priya and their anesthetist attended this case, gave some medication to subside the pain. When things became normal after some time, Naga was told to leave home and were given some medicines and tests in the prescription.

02/08/2022 and 03/08/2022: Naga Shaik visited Priyadarsini hospital again and took Mantoux test and TB PCR test.

13/08/2022: Naga visited Priyadarsini hospital again and took some tests. After going through the reports, they told that no surgery is required and can be cured with medicines and prescribed some medicines. The same problem when shown to a doctor in Sircilla area, they did all the tests and advised surgery which would cost around 60k.

07/10/2022: Finally, Naga visited the hospital for the follow up and had all checks done and he is doing good. The timely treatment at Priyadarsini Hospital was of great help in making him fit and confident.

Note: As this treatment went phase-wise and we are giving the update after completion of the treatment.

Volunteers:

Satish Guntupalli

Dr. Priya

Thank you so much Satish and Dr. Priya, and the hospital staff for providing free treatment (charged only for tests) to Naga  which helped Me2We to save some amount.

Regards,

Me2We
