Background Information:
We got this requirement from Sahaaya Group. The requirement is to support for food distribution to destitute and stranded migrant workers @ Atmakur Town, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh which was declared as red zone.
Sahaaya group along with Manavatha Nilayam Oldage home (Initially, we supported this oldage home for 5 years and later Sahaaya group is taking care of it) volunteers have been distributing the food to destitute and stranded migrant workers @ Atmakur since 31st March 2020 t0 20th May 2020.
As the lockdown got extended till 31st May 2020 across India and it got extended till 8th June 2020 in Atmakur as it is a Redzone.
Sahaaya Group is currently running out of funds and approached Me2We whether we can support them to continue the food distribution to these destitute and migrant workers.
Considering their request and understanding the need, Me2We Team is contributing for food distribution conducted by Sahaaya Group along with Manavatha Nillayam volunteers as and when required.
