Reason behind supporting Rishitha's surgery in the name our members girl children is, this small baby's father left her mother as she gave birth to baby girl 2nd time. So, to show our support to the girl children, We supported this girl in the name of the Girl Children of our members who are proud for giving birth to girl child.

Background information:

We got this requirement from our Me2We member Venkatesh garu. The requirement is to support a 2-year girl child Rishitha for lung surgery.

She is from Laxmidevipeta, Polavaram, Andhra Pradesh  and Rishitha is a second daughter of Krishnaveni and Venkateshu. The second kid being child her father left his family. Currently, girls’ mother Krishnaveni is staying with her parents are getting support from them. The whole family do labour work.

Recently, early 2020 Rishitha felt ill and later it was diagnosed there was a problem in her lungs. They first went to government hospital Kakinada. As there is no proper equipment available to treat this baby, Doctors suggested them to go for any corporate hospital. Later, they went to Manipal Hospital Vijayawada with the help of Jayavarapu Adisheshu (ABN reporter, Polavaram) who is relative to them. Doctors at Manipal hospital suggested that Rishitha needs to undergo  Thoracotomy (lung related surgery) which costs around Rs.1,30,000.

Later, Rishitha got admitted in Manipal Hospital, Vijayawada on  19/11/2020. She got operated on 23/11/2020 and surgery was successful. Later, she was in ICU for 6 days and discharged on 18/11/2020.

Thank you Venkatesh garu for bringing this requirement to our notice, visiting Manipal hospital multiple times to talk with doctors and finance department during this during Covid-19 situation.

Event 613 - Paid Padmaja garu (single woman) house rent

Background Story:

We got a this requirement from our member Gopichand Muvvala. The requirement is to support a single woman's family for paying house rent.

She has two daughters and her husband recently passed away. Currently, she is doing some home made work and trying to generate some income which is not sufficient for their survival. For few days some of their relative supported for house rent and groceries, but after that their situation has become tough to manage basic things. 

Our member Venkatesh G visited their house and physically verified the requirement. We had call with them and understood that they are facing difficulties to pay house rent. 

Considering their tough situation, we are supporting them by paying house rent for 3 months. Later, we may think of other options to make them live on their own feet once the Coronavirus crisis is passed.

Background Information:

Harshitha is daughter of Ashwini garu (single woman) and we are paying Harshitha's fee from past 2 academic years. Harshitha has two younger sisters and and her father passed away last year due to liver failure.

Since then, her mother Ashwini garu is running small curry point business for their survival. We have also tried to generate some revenue for her mother's business by giving catering for Me2We Food distribution events. they were able to manage basic expenses with her mother's curry point since March 2020. 

But, things got changed due to Covid-19 situation, their curry point business  was completely shutdown during Covid-19 lockdown period and there was no revenue for them.

They were able to manage the lockdown period with their small savings and with the help of few grocery distributions from local people during lockdown.

Recently, Ashwini garu reopened her curry point. However, due to Covid-19 situation, most of the customers are not willing to eat food outside and preferring to eat home food. It became very difficult to her to manage basic family needs. So, we have supported them with groceries recently.

Now, As part our yearly support to Harshitha, we have paid her school fee this year @ St.Francis Girls High School, Secunderabad.

Background Information:

Ashwini garu is a Me2We needy to whom we have been supporting for her daughters Harshitha and Aiswarya's education from past 1.5 years.

She is a single woman and having three daughters. Her husband passed away last year due to liver failure.

We got this requirement from Naga Prasad garu and the requirement is to support degree college fee of Margam Sai Ganesh.

Sai Ganesh is a partially visually impaired student from Mulugu, Telangana. His father passed away one and half years ago due to liver problem. His mother works as a helper in a hotel.

Due to current Covid-19 situation, we did virtual verification for this requirement. Our member Sagar Motupalli virtually verified it and gathered complete information about the requirement.

Note: Initially, Sai Ganesh thought of joining Bhavan’s College when we get this requirement. So, requirement document refers to that college. Later he has chosen Dt.Daniel Degree College. Thank you Narasimha Rao Dulla for you time and efforts for visiting the Bhavan’s College and enquiring the collecting the required information from college management.

After all discussion and considering his situation, we have paid his college fee Rs.16,320 and our member Lakshmi Narayana garu visited St.Daniel's  Degree College, Vivekenanda Nagar, Hyderabad and paid the fee.

Background story:

We got this requirement from one of our Me2We needies Satish Jaganna. Requirement is to provide financial aid to partially visually impaired student Gopi for a Cricket kit to play in National-level Cricket Team (Nagesh Trophy 2021).

Gopi is from a Pyalakurti Village, Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh. His father was a contract lorry driver and used to get paid only when there was any lorry work. Two years ago, his father met with an accident and since then he was unable to go for job.

His mother is a daily wager and gets around Rs. 200 daily. Currently the whole family surviving on his mother’s income. Gopi has 2 sisters (one elder and one younger sister).

Gopi did his intermediate and degree at Netra college, Shamshabad. After studies he was trying for bank jobs and got job as a computer assistant in Chaitanya Junior College, Vijayawada. Unfortunately, he lost the job due to Covid-19 lockdown and came back to his hometown and preparing for competitive exams.

Other than studies he has a great passion for cricket. Last year, he got selected for Nagesh trophy (National-level Cricket trophy for visually impaired cricketers) and played for Andhra Pradesh Team.

Now, he got chance to play Nagesh Trophy 2021 again and this time it is very crucial for his career. Gopi got 80% in his degree and trying for govt competitive exams. The certificate he gets from this cricket tournament would also helpful for him in getting some reservation in sports quota.

Our members Kiran Sreeram and Vinay Thota visited his hostel @ Kurnool and did physical verification.

After all discussion and understanding the necessity of having Cricket Kit for building his career, we have provided Cricket kit to Gopi and our members Sagar and Satish went to Sachdev Sports, Secunderabad and purchased the Cricket kit for Gopi.
