Background information:
Jayamma garu is a single woman and her husband passed away 8 years ago! She lives in Dubbaka village, Ramanapeta Mandal, Yadagiri Dist, Telangana. We got to know about her need last year (in 2021) when our Me2We team went to Pallevada village for executing the event - Construction of house for Uppalamma Single woman.
After getting married she moved to Rayalaseema area. Her husband was a daily labour. After her husband passed away she came back to her native (mother’s place).
Currently, she is having her living hood in her native with her two daughters by tailoring and doing some agriculture labour work and all three of them were staying in a wooden box sort of house arrangements. It was getting very tough for them somehow other way in all seasons. They used to sleep in the nearest Church! They were missing that minimum privacy in many aspects.
Recently, upon requests and internal discussion within their family, their brothers came forward to support her by giving some amount for purchasing land within the village.
Me2We Volunteer Yadagiri garu physically verified the requirement 11/10/2023
Considering their situation and after understanding their need for house, we decided to support her for construction of house. Construction work was started in Dec 2022 and completed in May 2023.
Our members Yadagiri Chedipalli, Sagar Motupalli, Satish Guntupalli, Kiran Sreeram and Suman Maddula visited Dubbaka village on 13/05/2023 and participated in house inauguration ceremony.
Note: Me2We has gathered complete information about this requirement and kept confidential.
Regards,
Me2We
