Background Information:

We got this medical requirement from our Me2We members Roopa garu and Ranjith garu.

Gopala Krishna is from Tekulappally, Near Yellandu, Telangana. His father is a daily wager and Mother is a house wife. His brother Ramesh is pursuing MBA and also working at a medical shop part time. They have elder sister and brother in law is a driver.

Gopala Krishna  met with an accident on 23/03/2023. It took almost an hour for someone to identify and take him to the hospital. In between he lost lot of blood. He was brought to Mamatha hospital @Khammam. He got a head injury, few fractures and went into comma.

Due to lack of advanced equipment and considering the criticality of the patient, the hospital management suggested them to move to Mamatha hospital, Bachupally, Hyderabad. Here, he was treated till 07/04/2023. They were in hospital for almost 15 days. He was treated for head injury and infection in lungs. For this treatment, they spent around 4 lakhs which they took on interest and some amount they received as help.

After that Mamatha hospital management advised them Rehab Institute of Movement Sciences for further treatment. When they moved to this hospital, patient was able to open eyes, but he couldn’t talk to anyone. A ray of hope is now Gopala Krishna is able to talk but not as clear as he used to do earlier. He has gone through Medication and Physio at RIMS for few days and got discharged recently.

Currently, he is going through physiotherapy at his village and it costs Rs. 500 per each sitting and he needs to undergo physiotherapy for few months. As they could not afford for further treatment, approached Me2We for the support.

Our Me2We member Aravind Iddamsetty visited RIMS (Rehab Institute Of Movement Science), Nallagandla, Hyderabad on 08/04/2023 and verified the requirement.

Our Me2We well-wisher Ashok Sai visited their residence on 09/04/2023 at Residence (Tekulappally, Near Yellandu, Telangana) and physically verified the requirement.

After understanding his health condition and considering their financial situation, we decided to support for his physiotherapy treatment in phases. As part of our Phase 2 support, we paid his physiotherapy expenses (Rs. 5000) for 10 sittings.

Regards,

Me2We
